Our guide will pick you up at your guesthouse after breakfast, starting around 9:00 AM. Follow your guide along the river, climbing through rubber plantations to the entrance of Gunung Leuser National Park. Both the one-day and two-day tours are popular and well-loved. Here, you’ll have the chance to see semi-wild or wild orangutans, various monkey species, and other impressive wildlife. Pause to enjoy fresh tropical fruit snacks while soaking in the magnificent rainforest atmosphere. Afterward, continue the hike, climbing to enjoy panoramic views over the Bahorok River valley and Gunung Leuser National Park.

Recharge with a delicious fried rice lunch before continuing. Around 4:00 PM, you’ll arrive at the riverside campsite where we’ll stay the night. Relax and refresh by the river or under a waterfall as we serve tea, coffee, and snacks. If lucky, you may spot orangutans building their nests as night falls. Enjoy a forest-cooked dinner prepared by our skilled chef. After dinner, gather around candles and a campfire with your guides and fellow trekkers for an evening of camaraderie. Sleep to the magical sounds of nature surrounding you.

On Day 2, you’ll wake to sunlight filtering through the trees and the sounds of birds and forest life. Your chef will prepare warm tea or coffee and breakfast. After breakfast, you can visit a beautiful waterfall for relaxation and even try “jungle face painting” using natural clay and charcoal. By 1:00 PM, you’ll return to the camp for lunch and then take a rafting back to Bukit Lawang. Your guide will escort you back to your guesthouse.
